Camp Twin Lakes Fundraiser

This Saturday, April 30, the sixth annual Camp Twin Lakes’ Camp Dance fundraiser will run from 8 PM to midnight at the World of Coca-Cola in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Camp Twin Lakesis a nonprofit organization, offering year-round therapeutic and recreational programs for children with serious illnesses, physical challenges, emotional issues, and special needs. The camp allows these kids the fun experiences that "normal" kids take for granted.

Those attending the fundraiser will have the opportunity to tour the World of Coke and then boogie down to Bobby and the Aristocats. Complimentary spiked bug juice will be provided, as will camp-themed hors d’oeuvres like miniature cheeseburgers, corndogs, moon-pies and s’mores. Guests will also have the opportunity to make their own specialty cocktails by choosing one of the World of Coke's "'round the globe" flavors and then adding a little something extra from the bar. There are raffle prizes and an after-party at the Philips Arena Taco Mac.

Last year, Camp Dance raised $92,000, which enabled Twin Lakes to send 102 children to camp. This year, their goal is to be able to send 110 children. Tickets are $65 ahead of time and $75 at the door (visit site for details). Camp Dance has sold out in 2010 and 2009, so if you want to come camp out, dance, and drink for one of the best causes in Atlanta, hurry up and get your tickets before it's too late!
