Chomp & Stomp in Cabbagetown is coming up Saturday, November 6th

If Halloween weekend didn't exhaust you beyond belief, and you're looking for some fun this weekend, the 8th annual Chomp & Stomp in Cabbagetown is coming up Saturday, November 6th. The extremely popular chili cook-off and music festival takes place in Cabbagetown Park, at Tye and Kirkwood, from 11 am to 6 pm.  Come and see one of Atlanta's most unique fall festivals, deep in the heart of the city!

For those of you worried about developing a chili belly, before the festival begins there's a 5k run (the Romp & Stomp) benefiting the Cabbagetown Initiative CDC, the non-profit organization responsible for the upkeep of the Community Center and two beautiful parks. Entrants will receive a free t-shirt and a tasting spoon valid for sampling the wares of Chomp & Stomp's chili contestants.

Otherwise, it's $5 for a tasting spoon to sample the chili on display while you enjoy beer or other beverages and the live bluegrass music. There will also be plenty of vendor booths for those looking to do a little shopping, as well as food vendors for those who come too late to get their fill of chili (it runs out quick, so come early!). Last year's winners were the intown Atlanta favorite, Grindhouse Killer Burgers, and the participants look to be even more exciting this year!

Additionally, the Fur Bus will be providing shuttle service from the MLK Marta station next to the Pencil Factory Flats & Shops (one of the event's sponsors), so you don't have to worry about finding parking.

Get updates from Chomp & Stomp's Twitter feed so you're never out of the loop. See you at the Stomp!
