Discover the restaurants and history of Inman Park, the Old Fourth Ward and Sweet Auburn on your own

With so many great restaurants in Intown Atlanta, it’s sometimes hard to decide which ones to try.  Fortunately, there’s an app for that – ok, not exactly – but there is now a way to sample from a variety of restaurants and explore Inman Park & the Old Fourth Ward and Sweet Auburn neighborhoods at the same time.   Enter Atlanta Culinary Tours, guided walking tours of Atlanta neighborhoods that let participants experience the architecture, flavors and history Atlanta has to offer.

Atlanta Culinary Tours is currently exploring four areas in the Atlanta area – two of which are Intown –Sweet Auburn and Inman Park & Old Fourth Ward.

On each of the tours, participants (up to 14 max per tour) will sample food at roughly five restaurants, meet with owners and chefs, and hear about the rich history of the Intown Atlanta neighborhoods in which the restaurants reside.   Atlanta has an interesting story to tell – and this is a great opportunity to hear it while experiencing it (and tasting it!)

The Inman Park/Old Fourth Ward tour is scheduled to take place December 17, January 21 and Feburary 18 – all from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at a cost of $39 per person.   The tour may feature stops at P'cheen(in the Shops at Highland Walk), Parish, Barcelona Wine Bar (both in the Shops at N. Highland Steel), Fritti, Savi Urban Market, and Park’s Edge.

The Sweet Auburn Curb Market tour is scheduled for December 3, January 7, and Feburary  4 – all from 2:30-5:30 p.m.  at a cost of $32 per person.

You can get additional information (including some historical tidbits if you want to impress your date with some pre-tour knowledge) and purchase tickets on the Atlanta Culinary Tours website.

Bon appetit!
