Hill Street Tavern Parties Hard in Downtown Atlanta
Last night, Hill Street Tavern hosted its "Grand Openingish" party at its location on Decatur Street in the Pencil Factory Flats and Shops. Nearly 100 guests, locals, bloggers, fans, friends, and more showed up for the atmosphere, music, and free drinks and appetizers all night long. The team from 11 Alive was there to document the fun. See the gallery here.
For what it's worth, Hill Street Tavern also has a pretty robust event schedule, with darts on Monday, Dirty South Trivia on Tuesday, and live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Of course, if your idea of a great event is drinking, they do have 20 beers on tap. Just saying.
This eclectic spot is perfectly situated for everything from power lunches between the state's bigwigs, to a quick beer (or three) among Georgia State students or off-duty Grady staff, since the place is just a few blocks from the heart of downtown, the university, and the hospital. It's especially convenient for those lucky folks living in the luxe downtown Atlanta apartments above the Tavern. See our previous review of this great downtown Atlanta lunch spot.
Congrats to Hill Street Tavern on "officially" opening; we sure appreciate you saying hello!
