Learn to cook from Atlanta’s best!

By now you’ve likely heard at least one friend rave about the amazing food, drink and atmosphere at Barcelona Wine Bar in Inman Park’s N. Highland Steel community.   If not, check out our earlier post about the restaurant here.  We also mentioned the hotspot in a post about Atlanta Culinary Tours as one of the usual stops on the Inman Park/Old Fourth Ward tour.   But the folks at Barcelona Wine Bar are betting some of you want to have an even more intimate experience than even dining or touring can provide.    And what better way to get a true behind-the-scenes taste of Barcelona than to get in the kitchen with Executive Chef Michael Blydenstein.

Chef Bly, as he is known by many, is currently offering two cooking classes for just $20 per person.  During the first class, February 7 at 7:00 pm, Chef Bly will cover the basics of roasting meat.  You’ll be the talk of the dinner party after you put the learnings from this class to use with your family and friends.  The second class, March 6 at 7:00 pm, will let you in on the secrets to warming your insides with the most delicious soups, stews and chili.

There are of course a limited number of participants for each class, so if you’re interested, we recommend you make a reservation soon by calling 404-589-1010.

To get an insider look at how the class might run, take a look at this blog posted by a participant of “Barcelona Cooking School” in Fairfield, Connecticut.  Chef Bly will no doubt do things his own way, but you’ll get a feel for how the hands-on evening might flow.   The blogger also comments on signing up for the class as a great non-traditional date idea – we couldn’t agree more!
