St. Patrick’s Day
Regardless of whether you're Irish or not, if you're looking to find some fun this St. Paddy's, we are happy to oblige with our list of the many shindigs going down around the heart of Atlanta:
- St. Patrick's Day @ P'Cheen (Old Fourth Ward: 701 Highland Ave.): Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day at P'cheen, with authentic Irish dishes, Irish cocktails, and Guinness on draft. DJ Airwolf will be providing tunes for getting down, and beads and hats will be provided for those who can party like true Irish men and women. $5-$20. The party starts at 4 PM and goes on all night!
- St. Patrick's Day @ the Drunken Unicorn (Poncey-Highlands: 736 Ponce): Sick of amateur night drinking? Come see ATL punk rock darlings Vegan Coke and the always-fun Thy Mighty Contract play with touring bands Des Ark, Pygmy Lush, for a big Paddy's blow-out. It's only $5, $21+, doors at 9.
- St. Pabst @ the Graveyard Tavern (East ATL: 1245 Glenwood): DJs Cristo Disto and Brian Parris spin for dancing, plus drink specials, "alcoholic Irish cupcakes," a tattoo contest, dance party band Judi Chicago, and more. Come see the Graveyard's new second level! Photos from last year's party.
- St. Patrick's Day @ Ri Ra Irish Pub (Midtown: 1080 Peachtree): Taking a sick day? Ri Ra is opening at 6 AM with Irish breakfast and pints of Guinness, and will feature Irish dancers at 4 PM and then bands playing Celtic music and covers all night long. Ri Ra has plenty of traditional Irish food and enough beer and Jameson to make even Shane McGowan look good!
Or, you know, you could go drinking in Buckhead. Your choice.
