Happy Friday!   Here’s your weekend dose of news, events and last minute gift ideas from downtown Atlanta and Inman Park:

·         -  Alma Cocina, downtown Atlanta’s newest Mexican restaurant, is now open.  Check out the Creative Loafing review posted today.

·          - Update - Village Theatre not only meets, but exceeds its fundraising campaign to assist with the improv theatre’s move to the Pencil Factory Flats and Shops.   Way to go, guys!   Check out a show tonight or Saturday night at 8:30pm.

·         -  Earlier this week, Ponce City Market announced its first confirmed tenant– Dancing Goats Coffee Bar.   The restaurant, which currently runs a location in Decatur, will open in a temporary spot in the former City Hall East while construction continues on Ponce City Market. 

·         -  The holidays are right around the corner.  Are you still looking for the perfect gift?  Check out the Creative Loafing Holiday gift guidefor local Atlanta gift ideas for the special people in your life.

·          - Want to have some fun this weekend?   Check out these family-friendly holiday happenings.  Or, if you are looking for a more adult activity, we highly recommend the “Sex Drive” exhibitat the Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center.  This is the last weekend for the exhibit, which explores gender, romance, religious structures and scandals connected to sexuality.  Don’t miss it!
