What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?

- Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta– The actual dropping of the Peach (including fireworks) happens at midnight, but Peach Drop 2012 is a 16-hour event for the whole family that begins at 11:00 am on Dec. 31. The event includes live music (Kansas performs at 11:15 pm), carnival rides, food and face painting for the kids. And best of all, the event is FREE!
- New Years at 200 Peachtree with rapper T.I. (also known as Takers New Years Eve) -- The party features music by Ryan Cameron, DJ J-1, DJ MLK, DJ Holiday, DJ Battle and DJ A+. Ticket prices start at $30 and the event is limited to those who are over 21. Doors open at 9:00 pm.
- Just down the street at 265 Peachtree is the Hyatt Regency’s Downtown Countdown Atlanta. This all-inclusive party affords attendees with an open bar, heavy hors d’ oeuvres, 5 bands (including Live singer Ed Kowalczyc and Naughty by Nature), 4 comedians, 3 DJs and so much more. Get your tickets now before prices go up or tickets sell out!
- Want to celebrate with a concert rather than a party? Zac Brown Band is playing at Phillips Arena and Cake will be making music at the Fox Theater. Here’s a list of 13 more music events ringing in the new year.

New hotspot Barcelona Wine Bar in the N. Highland Steelneighborhood is accepting dinner reservations for those who want to enjoy their warm, intimate atmosphere while enjoying delicious Spanish wine and tapas.
Whatever your plan, if you or the people you are with are planning to drink on New Year’s eve, download the Georgia Office of Highway Safety’s app (or download the list from their website if you don’t have a smartphone) to access organizations offering free rides home. Stay safe, Atlanta!
